if i slam the gas down, rpms drop to almost nothing and then it takes off like a second later. i've actually had the car stall before from doing that. so i have to ease the pedal down. anyone know what i can adjust to make it instant power? im guessing its throwing too much fuel in at first or something.

too much or too little...

what is your mixture screw set to?

and did you upgrade the fuel pump?

Did this problem just start???

it could just need a fuel filter or a rebuild...
also check for loose boosters... very rare...
or vacuum leaks...

If problems get worse it also could mean the float valve is unscrewing from the top hat...

it's best to buy a weber book... there are many out there, but look for one that has full rebuild diagrams and explains how to tune the carb.
