I did a bit of work to a factory CD console so that it would fit my DTS processor, here's the first few pics. I've still got a good amount of sanding, priming and of course painting to go.

its one of the few optional consoles out there. There is an EQ one and a CD one where the tape holder/cupholder should go.

The paint is glossy, so it shows off every single imperfection. I'm going to take some dullcote finish to it for protection and to get rid of the gloss.

i have ideas of doing something more like that with mine whenever i have some free time to think something up and do it. here's what i did with my tape console. this is an old picture, i'll take a newer one when i redo the console again. i'm going to repaint it with krylon fusion because its more durable than the duplicolor i used on the plastic.
