rough idle?

Intermittently, my car idles rough as a cobb. It has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter. I just set the valves, and cleaned the o2sensor. No ecu codes. The idle does jump up and down like so many others mentioned here. Do you think the problems are related? I also pulled the injectors, cleaned the deposits off them, and remove those little screens (they were rotten and falling apart)
Nothing has made an improvement. What am I missing?

my 87 lxi auto had the worst freaking idle, but i cleaned out the throttle body with some fuel injector cleaner and a old toothbrush and it did wonders. It still idles rough but not nearly as bad. GL
