Im thinking cerwin vega 12's with a profile 800 watt amp (Profile 800 SX) and a JVC KD-SX980 MP3 header, infinities in the front and back sound good??? lemme know????

Cerwin Vega make very good home theater speakers I have the 12 subs by them called E-312 series in my room and they do pound but you would be better off using the infinity kappa subs as well, personally I wont use anything but JL AUDIO, right now I have 2 12inch JL W3's on a 250 watt amp and it feels like my head is going to come off my shoulders and hit the steering wheel, but my future system that I will have in October is 2 12inch JLW7's powered mono off 2 500/1 JL amps, I only need like $600 and buy everything out right, but seriously if you are willing to spend just a little bit more money WWW.JLAUDIO.COM is where u should be

It depends on what series of Cerwins you are talking about. Really in my opinion all of them are exceptionally good subs. I would lay off of the Profile amp unless it is one you already have. If you are going to buy it you can do better for the same money. I have the same head unit you are speaking of I like it fine.

I have (am in the process of closing down) a stereo shop so I got it at cost. Are you talking about the HED series or Vega series subs? I carry vegas and they are good subs. The HED series work in small sealed enclosures, the vegas work well in larger vented enclosures. I sold the JVC unit for $229.99. How much are the subs on the site? The 12-4 is a 4 ohm sub, the 12d4 is a dual voice coil sub. It really depends on what amp you have on which subs you would want.
