they come in preludes and vary in power and torqe.

edit: this motor is a dream motor for all the ricers here my town. my buddy had a del sol runnin high 12's with the h22. also use the search, i'm sure there are plenty of threads on this motor. uhh since you have a 96, you should try other forums that might have more info on the swap for you. www.accortdtuner.com, superhonda.com, honda-tech.com <-----they're fags tho.

the motor was available for Accord (japan or europe) or Prelude (USA, Japan or Europe).
in Japan, 94-97 Accord SIR had H22 motor. it has 10.6:1 compression ratio, 190hp@6800rpm / 152lb-ft@5500 rpm.
it was also available in following models Of prelude: 92-96 Prelide Vtec; 97+ prelude type S, or Prelude SIR. The H22 motor in prelude had a little more power than the one in Accord. the diff was about 10hp.

In the US, the motor was available for prelude only. and the code was H22A1 or H22A.
the engine is identical to the one in Accord (when it comes to HP).

if you want more info on how to swap the H22 please read this http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/tech/0311scc_hybrid/
