I've got to replace my hub(spindle). I was looking in the book and it said i have to have a press and all this to get it off.
Is this true, or is there another way i can just disconnect stuff and yank it off? I got to get one at the junkyard, and i dont have one of the press things.

i replaced my hub bearing spindle. what do you mean by "press" ? anyways my dad did it, we didnt use any special tools but ordinary ratchets and shit. it wasnt that hard for him, but hes a mechanic. Next thing im getting done is my CV joints, which need replacing BAD!

well the fronts I'm pretty sure are a press fit and the rears just bolt on.

So it takes a 32MM socket to get it off...
After you get that off, you HAVE to use a press to get the axle out?
Is there anyway you can pull this off at your local pull-a-part? I mean once you get that spindle nut out of the way, what else do you have to disconnect?

the fronts have to be pressed out, and then they have to be pressed back in, but be careful that you dont push the backing plate for the wheel bearings or you'll have a hell of a mess. had to have mine done at hibdon's tire shop here in town. the rears i dont know about.
had to find out about this the hard way when two wheel studs broke while driving in town........... wasn't a very happy person that night
