Yesterday I went to the Philadelphia Art musium ( where Rocky ran up the steps) and they were having a GTi meeting .... Awsome cars and I think it will be a great meeting spot for some pictures and hang out over all. Then, we could cruise down to South street and have some philly cheesestakes and if some of you want, we could go down south to the street night life and have some fun with the locals :D Let me know guys and I can arrange something. A philly meet would be cool as hell.

I think it will still be snow free for the 1st week of november, but we never know. I think that is plenty of time for us to get ready. I know most of you still have to get some things straighten up and rob has to have his car on the road, so I think that a month and a half will be enough time for all of us.

As far as food goes, there are plenty of places here in philly where we could go. I think a BBQ will be out of the question for november. Well i can assure you guys that you wont see the b20 at the meet. Today was a very bad day. I had a tuner come up from NC to setup my EMS since he is supposed to be the best on the east coast which i dont doubt. But the first fire we heard the valves knocking and cylinder 3 dont close all the way now. So i bent some valves for sure and im guessing its due to the machine shop since everything else if perfect. Im a bit pist because of all the money wasted and i still need the guy to tune it when i do get it running which may not be for a bit. I want to find out why this happed before i go any further and i even considered putting my spare head on but either way i have a lot of work to do. The only good thing i got out of this was a base map so i can fire the car on my own but thats about all. I guess thats what i get for rushing the machine shop and not sticking with the one that built steve's LS/Vtec since i know they are a top notch shop. But im not eating any more money so my shop is going to do the work right or pay the other shop to do it if the problem is what i think.

On a good note i can say even w/o the car running the AEM EMS is an amazing unit and if you can afford it i highly recommend it as long as their is a well known tuner in your area or that will travel to you. We had a problem with the exhaust cam sensor and the EMS shows every sensor read out on the laptop. So hopefully i have better luck with my next attempt.

Disappointments are always hard to deal with, but at least you have the details as to what happened. and yes since the shop screwed up once before its a good bet that it repeated its mistake process with the valves.

Well the car is back home so hopefully i can pull her apart in the next few weeks when i have some free time. Tomorrow i gotta call the machine shop and argue with him and see where he stands. The only good thing is the shop my car was is (my friend Nick) uses that shop so i have a machanic to back me up. I pulled the cams today to do a full leak down test and cylinder 3 and 4 are leaking but 3 is leaking bad. And its the intake side so i expect a big delay unless i use my other stock head.

Well my friend figured out the problem and yes im sure i have some bent valves but it was definitly the machine shops fault. As for putting the stock head on im not gonna bother because the base map is only so i can start the car and i cant drive it like that. So it will certainly be a few weeks to get the head done and then i have to wait for my tuner to come back up this way.

And i talked to steve about it i think he wants to go and hopefully he does so i can ride up with him since my car is down for the count. But i really want to go since mid terms will be done and i need to get out since iv been working on the car for the past 2 weeks and ended up with this.

Thats fine and its probably a better thing so im not temped to beat on the car before its broken it. Im still trying to get it done as soon as possible but the valves were custom made by Ferrea and that will take atleast a week to get new ones. I could consider having a local certified EMS tuner do it but he has a tight schedule so i may be better off waiting.

And my Crowers are definatly going up for sale because i dont need any more headaches and they have a much higher lift than the b20a cams which gives less room for error. So if you know anyone that wants them im looking to get $350 as i paid $485 since i got them from Crower. They are brand new only test fit and are for the LS head. Stage II Turbo 62402-T

If i ride up with steve and he stays over then i will be over as well. I pulled the head off my car tonight and its a mess :mad: after all that work i did to get everything in clean. The bad thing is the problem is not as visible as expected so i may pull the block out and start over and do another leak down test to help pin point the problem.

Hopefully round two will be better and i should have it running in the next few weeks depending on how long the piston rings take to come in. I am worried about how its tuned and if i can get it tuned before winter sets it. But im still glad i can make it even w/o my car.
