That is a great gloss you've got on those things. I think that makes all the difference. Good job.

Nightshades can be bought at Summitracing.com for about $12 + ground shipping.

im pretty sure the clearcoat was testors, as well ass the paint. both were at walmart for like 2.50 a can. the clearcoat really does make it look a little better too, more factory like. its really all about sitting there and respraying the red on, you gotta keep spraying until you think it looks pretty close to the brakelight's red. it took probly 6 or 7 coats of red and 2 coats of clear. if anyone needs tips on taping off let me know, i know it can be a pain in the ass but i have a lot of experience with it.

Yeah I remember when I did my tails red. I think that really set the back end of the car off b/c it just looked awesome. That was about 2 years ago and they still look nice.

I painted mine with the same Testor's Candy Apple Red but I sprayed the entire tail excluding the backup lights; I think doing it this way makes the color a little more even. Here's a pic:

your tails cam out really really good. Its very hard to do just the right amount of coats of the candy apple red, cause sometimes it just dosent look right. I was lucky enough tog et the right amount of coats, but when i sprayed the clearcoat, it came out all orange peellyish, nothing near as nice and shiny as yours. IMO, your are the nicest red tails here. good job.
