security system failure

my car had a security system on it when i bought it. it worked fine up untile about 4 months ago. no matter what i do to the car it wont go off at all. and when i hit the butten it doesnt do the beep beep it used to. the only way it goes off is if i hold the button down, like the panic button. its a python system if that helps. could someone maybe lemme know if the system is shot or what? i dont know anything about security

Maybe yo need a new battery on that old remote or its just dirty check it out and see if it helps.

Make sure it is not in valet mode. I had a similar problem with my alarm when I first installed it. It was in valet mode and would only let me open/lock doors and sound the panic alarm. Usually you just need to turn the ignition on and flip the switch to disable valet mode.

well i checked out a little box thats under my dash and all it has is a sensitivity setting thing, i messed with that and it made no difference. i didnt do anything to make it stop workin so i dunno.

take it to a shop that installed it. let them check it out.
