Project Header--preliminary questions

Gonna get rolling on the Header Project soon and have upfront questions. I've got a 87 Hatchback with Keihin 2bbl and as shown in this image, I have an EGR tube and an Air Suction tube coming off my stock exhaust manifold. In all the pictures I've seen of headers these are no where to be found. I want to keep my stock carb setup, what is to become of these two tubes after the header install?

one of the thing you can do and i think you should do is get rid of that things. it is for the emission shit. it brings exhaust to your carburator that is it.
