Am i right in thinking the Sensor on the end of the exhaust camshaft is a trigger for the timing, Like a crank sensor but on the cam instead??

Yup, that's the CYL/TDC sensor (if you're using a Euro version)

Its the same as an integra 86-87 sensor/distributor.

If you're using a JDM distributor it has a crank and TDC sensor built into it. The sensor on the cam has only the cyl position.

You do not have to get the JDM exhaust cam sensor since the Euro version already has that cyl sensor in it. You'll just be left with 2 TDC sensors (1 in the distributor ans 1 on the exhaust cam) Just choose the one you cant :)

Plan was, I was thinking of a DIY crank fired setup using ford parts and a module we can buy to plug in the laptop! ...but i guess as it runs off the cam it can't be as acurate as the crank?? ...especially with adj. cam gears?
But anyways, is it like a low tension circuit pulse?
I'm using the a18 dizzy with a modified to fit the other way dizzy cap! he,he!
she runs great!!
