Help....Starter whines....!!!!!!!

When I tried to start my car this morning I heard a click and then nothing. I stopped and turn the key again and it turned over a lil bit and click and I heard the starter whine like its not catching something. I tried again and it clicked a couple times while starting but it finally started up. Anybody know what this problem is and how to fix????

usually this hesitated starting is associated with low battery voltage. If ur battery voltage is fine or next time it does this. Try to jump ur car and see what it does.

If it does the same. as someone to hit the started with the handle of the hammer while u crank it, or u hit it and ask them to start it. if it catches up while ur knocking on it, then its most likely the ammeture (or however its spelled) is giving out. So get a new one and put it. I think the aftermarket starters are not that expensive, some come with some limited lifetime warrenty too.
