manual/auto tranny swap

i'm just checking ahead of time, but am i right in thinking that a manual transmission from a 89 lx or dx will fit my 87 lxi?

yes, it should bolt up just fine. the only difference between the carbed 5spds and the fi 5spds are the gear ratios i believe. other than that, everything is the same. someone correct if i'm wrong.
