I'm in the process of replacing all the gaskets, seals, engine mounts, and and some other up grades that I'll post later with pics when the car is done. anyway I noticed the front engine mount the one on the cross member moves alot even though its new! So I'm thinking about having a solid steel mount made and I'm wondering if this will cause any problems? Anyone else have any ideas?

engine mounts are supposed to take vibration from the engine, thats what the so called "moving" is for.

the front is liquid filled so it's okay, what's not okay is if thier is liquid ghussing from it.

get a stonger mount adapter... or get a front dogbone...

I saw a nice spot on the front cross member next to the front mount that I plan to use for the front dogbone When I go turbo.

I also need to redo my solid rear dogbone.

i don't know i like liquid filled mount's.
i mean once the engine warm's you don't feel a thing.
what i hate though is the back mount.
i was wondering since it's like in a "V" shape without the load, should'nt it still stay in that shape or flaten down once the weigh from the engine is on it???

just make your own polyurethane mounts by filling the mount with 3M window weld available at home depot lowes, sears any store like that
