ok, not exactly spewing, but it is leaking a fair amount, I thought I was just leaking a bit of oil. Turns out it is going on the valve cover breather and down my nice ram air and dripping out my nice K&N. I just cleaned those both up and they are oil free now, but how do I prevent this from happening? I have a new PCV valve in there and no ideas what else to check.

Any ideas are appreciated, as I am stumped now.

Thanks guys

Try replacing the whole hose with a breather filter instead. That way you won't be sucking oil from the valve cover with the intake vacuum. The hose is supposed to carry air to the valve cover, not oil from the valve cover. So there must be some force to suck it through, which would be the intake vacuum.

Well there is supposed to be some suction on it... but there is an oil seperator in the valve cover... the drain holes / baffels could be stuffed up and isn't draining the oil back down like it used to, so now it's sucking up the oil that stays in the seperator.

remove the valve cover and clean out the PCV pipe and the baffels built into the roof of the valve cover... use some kind of engine degreaser, but make sure you rinse it off real good so that you don't contaminate the oil with cleaner.

if it still happens then you may have excessive leaks in the engine seals

or you can go out and but a chepo catch can or make your own which is very easy to do.

thanks, i will try cleaning it in the morning, then maybe toss a filter on in, until I can fashion up a catch basin

Ask Deathrat on that, he lives up there in Canada and is a autoparts specialist. :)
