Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know that I finally got an EG (92-95 civic) I will still visit the site to keep in touch with the "friends" ive made. Sorry Ive been away for so long (not that anybody noticed!) Due to the hurricanes, Ive been working some CRAZY hours, the last 6 weeks have all been 70+ hour weeks, so, I havent had a whole lot of time to do anything, let alone check the site. Good luck to everyone with their various projects, I will be in touch. It looks like we "Shouldnt" be getting anymore hurricanes, so hopefully I will be able to keep in touch.

Tim

Nah, it's a 4 door, but i got a really good deal on it, so , i'm not complainin. we can still do the yard meet if you'd like too. As soon as the engine work is done, we'll have to plan something out. I'm looking for a black dash and door panels. Ive considered painting the grey ones, but have heard lots of horror stories about the paint getting sticky after the car is parked in the sun. Im also thinking about getting some 88-91 Lude seats, I remember my 90 4WS I had, and it was so damn comfortable. I dont remember the previous 2 EGs being so uncomfortable. I dunno, im sure ill get used to it.

Tahnk to ya later,
Tim

P.S. Do you have a Body kit on your car? If so do you still have the factory FBC? The 4 doors have that big giant opening in the front and I dont like it. Im looking for a 2 or 3 door FBC. Lemme know if you have or know of where I can find one.

Thanks,
Tim

I don't have much knowledge about Civics and so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but EF are 88-91 Civics and EG are 92-95...as for ED, I think CT just likeds this person by the name of Ed. :D

Vong, ED is the US Chassis Code for 88-91 Civics...oddly enough (even though almost identical chassis...)

EF and EG are japanese civic chassis codes...and the 92-95 civics here are called EH. :D

for some reason the civics chassis codes not not the same as the japanese chassis. Integras are same on both sides (DA, DC2/4/5)

Well, diegoaccord comes to the rescue for the 1,000,000,000th time. J/P.

EF Japanese 88-91 Civic/CRX

ED US 88-91 Civic/CRX

EG Japanese 92-95 Civic Sedan, and Hatch, US Sedan

EH US 92-95 Hatchback

EJ All 93-00 SOHC Coupes.
--------------------------------

Some specific cars:

88-91

EF7 - Civic Si (JDM- ZC)
EF8 - CR-X SiR
EF9 - Civic SiR, SiR II
ED8 - CRX DX, HF
ED9 - CRX Si (US-D16A6)
ED3 - Civic sedan 1.5 (DX, LX)

92-95

EG6 - Civic SiR, SiR II
EG9 - Civic Si, Si-2 (B16A sedan)
EG2 - Civic delSol VTEC (US) delSol CR-X SiR (JDM)
EG3 - Civic sedan EX (US)
EG7 - Civic VTi
EH2 - Civic 1.5 hatch(US)
EH3 - Civic Si
EJ1 - Civic EX coupe (US) Civic Coupe (JDM)
EJ2 - Civic DX coupe (US) Civic Coupe (World)

interesting coupe facts, Ive noticed, along with Teg's.

86-89 Integra are DA
90-93 Integra are DA
93-95 Civic EX, DX coupe are EJ
96-00 Civic EX, HX, DX coupe are EJ
99-00 Civic Si coupe are EM1
01-present Civic EX coupe are EM2

The reason that some cars stay the same from US to Japan, like how we all get DC2 Integra's is where they're built.

For intsance, the only US Civic thats an EG is the sedan, and it's the only one sold in the US that's built in Japan.

Look at Vin numbers,

93-95 EX coupes are gonna be: (built in USA)

1HGEJ1

92-95 Si hatch: (built in Canada)

2HGEH3

92-95 EX sedan: (built in Japan)

JHMEG3

But see, all Integra are built in Japan

Yeah...I wrote this with no copy/paste, just facts that sit in my brain, useless. But I've done enough of these kinds of posts that you know it's all me. Not being cocky, just like I said, it's useless info, but it is fun to know these kinds of facts.
