ET aut tranny in a20?

my brother bought yesterday an a 89 lxi and has the tranny broken (AUT) and a friend is giving him an ET transmission.and he asked me if the tranny from a accord ET will bolt into the A20?

It should bolt to the engine, but the axles may not fit. I know the manual tranies from an ET are smaller then the A20 but I'm not sure about the autos.
