Flowmaster if you're looking for sound control with good flow, go with 2.25 or 2.50 depenging on where you are going with the rest of your exhaust, but remember bigger isn't always better.

The 60 series that is better suited for our engine displacement, nothing wrong with a 40 though, just more noise... look into the super 40 they have on their site.

Oh here is a link to sound samples

Get flowmaster! You must be smart to think flowmaster most people would just say fart cannon or no muffler. hehehe good to finally see some newbs that have some sense ;)

I would go with the 60 series myself.

me personally, i'd go with either a delta 60 series, or the dynomax superturbo. i have a superturbo i'm gonna put on my 2dr once it's all built.., i'll see how it sounds and maybe get me a 60 series. the only other flowmaster i think i'd get would be a 50 series.., but that'd prolly sound like crap on the 4banger.

he he he true, my exhaust sounded best when I only had 2.25" pipe, but at some 120db the cops were not to happy, but it sounded so damn agresive. :D

Flowmasters are good. Magnaflow are just as good in my opinion and are far cheaper. I had a flowmaster XL stainless on my Integra and was extremely pleased with the deep, mellow tone that it produced, as well as the quality of the welds and the price ($60 shipped to my door).

This is the muffler (and eBay seller) that I used for my Integra:

He also has them with pre-installed tips and in different configurations if you check his other auctions. Go with a Magnaflow and you won't be dissapointed.

I would go with a Magnaflow muffler. I had the Flowmaster 50 series delta flow. It was a little louder than stock. A little on the quiet side for my taste. I bought a magnaflow oval type muffler for 58 shipped to my door and I am very happy with the sound of it. Not too loud and not too quiet. They said it would be a smooth deep tone and they did not lie. I have 2.25 pipe from the catback with no resonator.

i have a cherry bomb glasspack on my GA for a muffler and that's quieter then the exhaust or lack of exhaust on my 3G which basically just comes out right after the headers, i need to find a cheap full exhaust from headers back for that, the flex tube is rusted out and the pipe to the muffler and muffler is rusted in half (crack down the middle of the tube and then the bottom of the muffler's been scraping out when i pull in my driveway, or go over tracks)

a 2.5" system seems like a bit of overkill on these cars. it seems like a 2.25" system would be a little more suited. 2.5" pipes are a little on the large side for a stock B18c with just i/h/c/e (but i don't think its overkill), and thats gonna put out about the same power as a built A20 i would think. then again, i haven't seen a crazy A20 build, but i remember one guy on here with a fair amount of work done on his A20, with a new cam and valvetrain, and a lot of other things, and he only put down like 140 whp. a stock B18c with i/h/c/e is gonna put down a little over 150 whp if the exhaust setup and intake is good. likewise, a b16a will put down about 145 whp with the same setup.

ditto.. I'd go with a flowmaster 60 series. The 40 is fairly loud on a 4 cyl.
