Here you go 3g'ers. It took me 3 long days to paint & clear coat it. You can't see the shinyness cause it is a rainy/foggy day here. I haven't put in my clear turn signals & fog lights yet. The mirrors are going to get paint when it quits raining here. Let me know what you think. I have a few minor paint inperfections to redo when I have time. Enjoy :)

not bad at all  but, IMO, you should have taped off/removed the moldings... it would make the car look more "factory"

I appreciate all the compliments guys. I have alot of time in getting the car ready for the paint. I ran it off the the road few years back and put a good dent in the driver side door and rear quater panel. Look at it good, you can see my "shady" bondo work. :kekeke: Overall, it's not to bad.

There are a few little runs in the clear coat I need to take out. I need to put in my lowering springs still, but afraid it might be too low. Don't have the time to do it either.

yeah the color rocks... did you use any special equipment to paint or just off the shelf stuff at sears or somthing... because it looks killer, are you a body guy by trade?

No, I'm not a body man. That paint isn't off the shelf. I bought it at an Auto paint supply store. It is 2 stage acrylic/urethane paint with high solids urethane clear. (base coat/clear coat) You can see it on a thread called ---Inza red pearl, "questions about moldings"

I have all the equiptment you need to paint a car. Air compressor, 6" rotary air sander, HVLP (high volume low pressure) paint gun, dent puller, cordless drill (for drilling holes). It takes some practice painting with a paint gun. My first paint job had some bad orange peel.

looks good. I personaly like it when people paint the side moldings. In one of the pics the hood looks like there are some spots where the clear coat does not look even. could just be the pic though. good job

Yeah, the hood has some uneven spots. I plan on shooting it better, along with other little imperfections. I still have alot of clear left to fix that with a quart of paint. It was hard to spay clear in the dark with a spot light. (ran out of time)

looks pretty damn good for an hvlp gun... im told that the key to a great shine with those guns is wet sanding and buffing...

Very nice looking; good job. Questions though: why is there such a gap under your headlights? Where did you get the clear corner lights, and are they bigger than stock? Is that what is causing the gap? Sorry to sound picky here, but I've been thinking about getting some clear corners, but want to make sure they will fit properly.
Thanks.

I'm not sure why there is a gap under the lights, I noticed it has been saggin a little bit. That is new bumper about 14 months old. I'm pretty sure that my bumper support is shot. I need to look into that. Got the clear corners off ebay along with my clear signals. (not shown) The clear corners are a little tight with the flip ups though. Thanks for the compliment.
