Been a while, no pics in the last few AutoX's (the guys taking pics drive too), but here are some more, from this last Sunday. Was the last event in this region for the season. Enjoy!

Yeah, chopped the springs 3 years ago when I first started into imports. Besides that and brakes, it's stock chassis. I took 3rd that event. Beat out a lady I've never beat before, but lost to her husband (two-driver car). There was a 92-95 Civic I was competitive with, and he's running full coilovers and all the other goodies, but he got Kumho 710's now so I cant compete anymore. Not until I shell out $400 for tires and another $400 for a spare set of wheels!

The car isnt being modified anymore. I sold my LX and bought a project CRX for an autocross car. Coilovers for that are coming this Tuesday. Si swap in a couple weeks.

That's a dual exhaust tip, not that big. No, the engine is far from stock. That's why I have to run Street Prepared.

ACT Clutch with Performance Street Disk
MSD Blaster 2 Coil
NGK Spark Plug Wires
NGK V-Power Plugs
Remus Custom Cat-Back
Car Sound Hi-Flo Cat
K&N Filter
Custom Ground Kit
Custom Battery Holder
Emissions Removed
Free Mods

I've raced local EFI models around here and beat them by about 4-5 cars up to 80. Especially killing them off the line with the ACT clutch.

You all are right...what was I thinking. I guess all those mods go under ICE right?

Let's see, when describing mods, people categorize it as such:

Engine
Suspension
Brakes
Interior
Exterior
ICE

What category does that fit under since Engine isnt right. Enlighten me.

Wow, IWLSF I can't belive they could say that. Your car is properly tuned and those are good mods.. I have no idea what they are talking about.

I am buying the same gold lx you have and I personally have to say if it wasn't going to be my beater I would love to tune it. Good choice on the remus.. I wish I could hear it..

Oh and for the ones that are talking shit about his engine being stock.. What does your car run? Do you know why his block is stock? Thats what I thought.

Unless you open the engine, it is stock. You have bolt-ons but the engine itself is stock. Learn your terms.

Example: My engine mod list

Complete Fuel Injection Conversion
1st Gen JDM B16A engine swap
DC Sports 4-2-1 Header
Catco High Flow Cat
Custom built cold air intake
K&N Air Filter
ACT Streetlite 12.5 lb. Flywheel
ACT Street Clutch
MSD 6A Ignition
MSD Blaster 2 Coil
Accel 8.5 mm Spark Plug Wires
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
Cat-Back exhaust consisting of Pacesetter mandrel bent piping, Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, & 3 1/2" Bosal tip

My engine is STOCK.

Do you know why his engine is stock?

Do you know why his engine is stock?

Stock bore, stock stroke, stock pistons, stock compression, stock valvetrain, stock cams, stock cam gear. Anything else?

Hey, let's not turn this into a pissing contest. Cool pics, and you steve stop bragging about your SLOW A$$ engine, mmmmmmmmmkay?

SteveDX89
10-22-2004, 10:20 AM
Not bragging. Just stating the fact that bolt-ons do not change whether and engine is stock.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

From now on we'll make a separate sub-category just for you steve.

Engine
--Engine Boltons

Nobody in the past has been so anal on the wording, but we'll change things for you. Yes my engine is stock. Well actually I'm sure my bore is about 0.006" larger than stock so my engine is modded!

IWLSF

BTW, an example. Go up to ANY car guy/girl and ask him what engine mods they have done. They arent going to tell your their bore, stroke, deck height, combustion chamber volume, valve height, etc. They will tell you what intake manifold, exhaust header, TB, muffler, etc they are using.

HostileJava

I actually don't list them as engine mods, but as performance mods, but let's give it a a rest, ok?
