View Full Version : I found B-series Motor Mount For 86-89

Hello Everybody I am new to the forum and I am looking to buy a 88 or 89 Hatchback Accord swap a GSR motor in that bad boy and do a couple exterior mods to it. I was sad to read that place racing went out of buisness, but I did find another company that makes mounts to do the swap. Now all we need is the shift linkage, axles, and wireing harness. I might be wrong but i think someone said this company uses the PRI stuff so that wont work either. So i dont see any luck with finding the mounts to do a swap unless someone is willing to sell their mounts.

Place Racing Incorporated....I can say finding a set of mounts will be hard at this point since the people that have them probably wont part with them. You can do a JDM B20A which is a direct swap into the accord but that has some downfalls as well as every swap. If you have money to blow on a swap i would recommend just building a nice turbo kit for the accord SOHC A20A3 engine. They are very strong and if done right will take the abuse of a turbo and be a good solid engine. I myself was not impressed with the PRI mounts as they have vibration that makes the car not a great daily driver. I mean thats just my opinion but if the car is your daily driver then i would build a turbo kit and have a faster engine than a stock B18 depending how much boost you run.
