Hi Guys :-)

I've got Master Plan, to put into my SEi Aerodeck an A/C :D

first question :
Is it possible to do that ? let say I know something about mechanics, and so on, but don't have much to do with A/C
second:
Is there any difference between CARB and FI Car and Its A/C system ?
I found something strange Chapter 23 page 22 ? A/C idle control valve or something...

and at least I need a full A/C system from USA :( here in Europe its very rare.
There is a first person who is willing to send whole A/C system but, his car is Carbed, and my is EFI so... I dont know is this a full A/C system for me.

Any possible help would be an improvement for me :-)
I would love to see my 89 Aerodeck wich is SEi with lather seats, to have an A/C :-)

the compressers and mounting brackets are usually different between efi and carb motors, or different trim levels

As far as i know the compressor is bolted to the A20 motorblock, and it is all the same in every A20A engine.
I'm affraid rather than some other parts, that can be different.

I think that noone here did this conversion, but It would be nice to have almost full equiped car.
there is no ALB, no cruise controll, manual gear, and no A/C
And It will be much easier to sit in summer on a lather seat with Air condition than without it :-)

You will need:
A/C Compressor w/clutch Denso or Keihin
Clutch relay
Clutch Diode
A/C low pressure
Idle boost solenoid valve
Idle boost diapham
Delay control unit
Mounting Bracket
Line from Compressor to condenser
Condenser
Hard Line from Condenser to Receiver/Drier
Receiver/Drier
Hard line from evaporator to receiver/Drier
Evaporator

A/C control switch with harness

Once you acquire all this then if you existing harness support the connection you should be in like a polar bear.

I'm heading to a junk yard in Jacksonville Florida about the 3rd week of November I probably could pick you up a few things while I'm down there but you would have to send the money through paypal once I let you know what is was going cost for the parts and shipping.

let me know.

Well I'm in the middle of takeing mine out.I will let you know what I have when I'm done. You oay for shipping and it's all yours.

and what about this
A/C idle control valve that is used to set up RMPs on neutral gear with A/C on ???
like I said chapter 23 page 22 of the manual
If I could only look on a car with A/C here I would check it,
but I can't couse My car with A/C will be a Rare find....
there is no problem to find a 4gen accord with A/C but the 3rd is rare.

any way, thanks for the list, I will compare it to the manual.
and about this pay pal thing ... I will have to learn how to make busines with USA... couse in this moment I dont know :-)

:-) , It's very kind of You.
but the shipping is a pain in the a.. so I'm kinda interested in a complete system with every rubber, every mounting bracket, every hard line, every harness, and so on. But I will remember Your offer. :)

first I have to be sure that there is or there isnt any difference between the carbed A/C system and EFi system.
Can someone look to the 23 chapter at the page 22 ?? at the Idle control valve ?? I think that this is the part that the carbed car doesnt have.

Not directly to the block, the bracket is held to the block by 6 rather large bolts. As long as you get the bracket and compressor as a set them no worries, which you are so yeah. :)

The carb car uses an a/c idle boost solenoid, which directs vacuum to the a/c idle boost diaphragm to raise idle when the a/c is on.

If efi operates with a simmilar solenoid then you can hook the vacuum lines from the carb solenoid to the efi solenoid... or vise versa.

One more time,
Here is what I will need:
1.A/C Compressor w/clutch Denso or Keihin
2.Clutch relay
3.Clutch Diode
4.A/C low pressure switch
5.Idle boost solenoid valve
6.Idle boost diapham
7.Delay control unit
8.Mounting Bracket
9.Line from Compressor to condenser
10.Condenser
11.Hard Line from Condenser to Receiver/Drier
12.Receiver/Drier
13.Hard line from evaporator to Receiver/Drier
14.Evaporator
15.A/C control switch with harness
16.thermostat
17.sight glass
18.charging/testing valves
19.Line from compressor to evaporator
20.any rubber holding condenser?
21.any plastic part that holds the hard line and other lines?
22.any other harness?
23. any vacum lines ?
and now
How or to what is the idle solenoid valve connected (electrically,or vacum)?
How or to what is the idle boost diaphram connected (electrically,or vacum)?
a/c idle control valve(chapter23 page 22 H.manual) = idle boost solenoid valve ??????????????
When there is a A/C is there a second Fan for a Condenser or olny the main Fan which is in every car.
Am I right ?

there is a second smaller fan that comes on when you turn on the A/C but it's possible to use a second large fan... it may or may not fit though with the A/C components installed

I dont know if carb does, but EFi for sure do.
the difference is that You set the idle when ac is on
carbed car - somwhere near the carb.
EFI car there is a screw under the A/C Idle control valve
and thats why I think that there can be a problem or the difference between those two A/C systems.
like I said I'm not A/C specialist, I'm not even a car mechanic, I'm an informatic ;-) but I do all the work around the aero by myself and I did change a motor head, and than whole engine once in my old Aero...

so this is why I'm asking You gus what do You think about all this work,
and the whole A/C systems, couse i think you've got more to say than I will ever have :-)

So we have to put A/C Fan to my wish list ? :-)

Shipping of the hard lines... I believe they are stock copper tubes may be a problem... they will end up being bent if they are shipped cause I believe most of them came in long segments... it may be better to buy some tubing from an auto store and bend it how you need to.

I don't know if you listed the parts that go under the dash of the car... I'm not sure if the blower and all that are different for a non A/C cars.

I know, and i'm affraid of this too :( - the hard lines :(((
Under the dash I do not see nothing more, than a a/c switch + harness, evaporator, thermostat, and Delay control Unit.
and I did list those parts :)
blower looks like is a different part and It is the same in both car types (with/without A/C)
