sooo....since like i'm selling this dented wash cloth bucket next year, i thought i might as well fool around with it and make it as gay as i can. sooo i went out and got some transparent black paint. NOT vht nite shade. and sprayed the shit outa everything. watyall think?

here's the culprit. got 3 cans from d and j hobbies for 5 bucks a can. i only used 2 cans for all the tails, signals and sidmarkers. i didn't wanna pay for vht and wait for like 2 months to get it. soo bah!

and yes, it's a g1teg lip that is kinda busted right now, the car is sitting too low and i'm hitting twigs and such on the streets.

derek, get the lip first, but you have to be patient, it takes a while to custom the lip.

so, im not the only person with multiple D16 VC's. (ive got three, ones attached to the engine)

to the original poster. that model masters spray looks good, you coulda got it a bit darker though, IMO. not hatin, just sayin. do the plastic thingy thats attached to the headlights too.


NOTE: itll only last a few months before it starts to weather. been there done that. i even surfaced the tails before i sprayed them, didnt hold up long.

saw the shades in person at night and it looks pretty good. Looks really good at night when on, especially the taillights. Its a darker red and the rest is blackish red so it makes it look somewhat like the trueno taillights colors effect. Well done.

You should have used night shade. It's a bit shinier. Your tails just look kind of textured wit htat model paint.

lol! I just did my tails with the same exact paint bought from the same exact store last week! What a small world! I painted the orange part only (on sedan tails), I'll post some pics some time.

Oh and as for the whole shiney issue... I dunno I can see my relection in mine

i love the tails and the markers in the front, IMO tho...i think you should put a few coats of clear coat on them to make them look more factory, they look kinda dull with no shine. REGARDLESS, they look good tho man, good job

there was a pic on here of one that had the top part tinted and the bottom part left alone...but i dont think it looks that good, what u got right now prolly looks better :D
