Just wondering if this would work. Mind you, I have no automotive knowledge whatsoever. My friend said to make a mutant engine using a CRV block with a VTEC head. I'm not seriously thinking about it, but it sounds interesting.

I'm already thinking it will be mostly custom work and definitely not a bolt-on.

You'll need to run a search on google... there are plenty of Vtec head swaps to non-vtec motors.

But I was sure that there is a Vtec CRV motor anyways at least in the newer models.

The CRV B20 is different from the Accord B20... if you're aiming in that direction.

And the bad-side of the ls/vtec or crvtec swap.

CRVTEC and LS/VTEC motors make some nasty power when built properly.

But the company that makes the engine mounts is out of business so finding the mounts and hardware is going to be tough including that others are trying the same thing. On another note i dont thing a Ls/Vtec swap is a good swap unless you have extensive knowledge with honda's in particular. 88Lxi68 did a lot of work to figure out the wiring and issues from instructions that would have never of worked. It is rather involved and wont be a simple project even if you had the mounts by any means.

I read about a B20/B16a VTEC spin to 11K and still kept making power. ;)
