This sounds kinda wierd. Whenever my car is warmed up, it dies every time i let off the gas. ill be in fourth gear and if i ease off the gas youll see the rpm gage just fo to zero and it will die. ive been having to keep reving the engine at red lights to keep it alive. i changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump not too long ago so i know thats not it. any ideas?

You might want to check for any vacuum leaks. Also check the pcv valve.

You still have the stock carb right? I for some reason think you did the weber swap...

lol, maybe it was a different dark accord honda... whatever.

Check you plugs too after you check for a vacuum leak.

Sortly after the car stalls after you get home... assuming it does stall. Just let the car die then let it cool then check the plugs without restarting... that should give you an idea if your running lean or rich. If it's lean then you're not getting enough fuel... if it's rich then you're getting too much fuel or your ignition saystem is having trouble igniting the fuel.

Vacuum leaks can also cause a lean mixture.

My mechanic said its probably something to do with the carb. He suggest rebuilding the carb or buying another one and replacing it. what do you think? we couldnt find any vacuum leaks.

did you find out it you were running lean or rich?

It could be an interanl leak or clogged passage.

Anyways rebuilding the carb is easy... getting the carb off the manifold is hard and time consuming... just because of the vacuum lines and linkages and wires. If you go to rebuild or replace the carb you should get at least 6' of 5/32" vacuum line and some kind of marker that writes on rubber to lable the vacuum hoses, or tape on lables.

cause new hoses wont have numbes on them.
