Finally got our windshield banners...

My buddy and I are trying to get a local team together. We hope to have a decent numbers of cars on the team by the time the local drag strip opens in the summer. So far it is just me and my friend Joel, and possably a couple of co-workers. He just recently got a 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II. Here are some pics of our team banners. I was just wondering what other people think of the team name and the banners themselves. All of your opinions are greatly appreciated.

I haven't had it at the drag strip yet, right now it is closed and it doesn't open back up until summer. I am supposed to race a guy from work. He has a 1995 VTECH accord...I'm gunna get my ass kicked, but we are going to time ourselves on a 1/4 mile straight stretch of road just out of town. I will be sure to post my time...

Okay, here we go.

1 - It's VTEC, not VTECH, and if it's not heavily modified, and you have some good mods, you can beat him.

2 - Leave his spoiler alone. If he likes it, then he likes it. It's HIS car.

3 - I think his signature pic is okay. Let's not be nit-picky.

hehe im not trying to be an a$$ but im just watching out. and the spoiler is fine with me if he likes it, its great.

anyways i like the clean accord man, its a good thing your starting a team, keeps ppl occupied and away from drugs and what not. but dont get into hate crimes man, couple of my friends got their cars/trucks jacked cuz they were having "tensions" with another team from the hood.

The reason I say I'm gunna lose is cause my car ain't runnin too great at the moment...As it warms up to normal temp it loses power and acceleration. I dont understand why and I cant afford to get it in the shop at the moment. I have a lot of bills and I am trying to find a place to live.

One note, maybe you should put your wiper back down or at 90 degrees. You're actually causing a little more drag the way you've got it. When you've timed your 400m, let us know how you got on. And good luck with your finances, I know how you feel. :cheers:

The team banner is cool but I would lose the Honda Accord LXi.

Many people think its kind of dumb to have a banner stating what the car your driving is. I like the team banner though. I was hoping that when you said you had a 3geez banner it was actually going to say 3GEEZ or something b/c that would be pretty cool.

I'm fine with team names and that, but I think its kinda tacky when you put' racing' in the title. If you have a team people know you streetrace, but I can't see to big of a racing community in Coos bay. It hard to think of a good name, some friends and I go by CorruptIllusions, but don't have banners. They might look better if you did them the same color as the car and then outlined them with a different colro, for example your rims look white in the picture so out line it white and the rx-7 could outline in chrome with a red banner.

But if you guys like it then stick with it, just don't expect everyone else to like it cause people always hate...

ya think of something catchy and creative. Theres a rae team down here in Arizona called "Wet Dreamz" haha. sickest name, and they got the craziest cars in AZ by far. This guy Dumptruck has an 92 Civic Hatch with BMW Z4 tails.. and thats just the begining of the list of mods.. Couple of my friends were tihnkin about making a crew called "Low Life" cause we all got slammed rides and were lazy highschoolers with no jobs.

The accord is clean, but the banners are kind of lame. I think even one oversized windshield banner is pushing it, two is right out. That rx7 is killer, absolutely gorgeous, though the paint looks a little oxydized, but whatevuh. There's plenty of people on here who can help you make a better banner. I'm workin' on one for oyu just for fun. I'll post it up when I'm done.

there ya go. 5 minutes in the making, lol. Still not good, but better then what you got. It's similar to a sticker I made for one of my friends on the vinyl cutter at school, so I know that a good vinyl cutter will print it out without tearing up the vinyl.

lol. Your team logo needs to be smaller. Like 9"x3-4", and located on your rear side windows or rear windshield. Banners are lame, but team tags aren't, when placed in the right spot. I'd reconcider the windshiled banners if I was you. (ps: I can make you vinyl decals at school if you want, I think I can send them in the mail for free, so if you want, I can make you some stickers that look better. I can't make too many though or my teacher will get pissed, lol)

Sorry I haven't been on in a while, its been a really bad month...My best frined and I have since gone in different directions. He dumped my sis after a 4 year relationship and to top it of he has been cheating on her with an underage girl for bout 2 weeks... I have since lost to window banners...Both of them. Looks a lot better I will get some updated pics soon. As for the Kaosracing banner it looked good until I put it on the car...thats why I was wanting opinions. Its gone. I am getting 3GEEZ decals done at the local graphix shop. I was thinking one on the back window or 2 smaller ones on the rear side windows. What sizes do you think would look best on the sides? and on the rear window?

yeah, if you get one on the rear window you shouldnt get it too big. and not on the bottom again. i remember our old team logo. i really hated it. looked so shitty, i too it off. i was kinda embarassed of it. lol. now we have nice little ones that go on the quarter glass. much better, looks more profressional, not so over done.
