Heater Blower stopped but....??

Please help!!!
tonight when I got into my car to go home from work... I was just warming it up listening to my cd player.
When I went to turn my heat on the heat blower would not work..AND the cd player cut out at the same time and turned completely off...
So then I'm just driving along with no heat or music..and about 5 minutes later the cd player came back on. So I thought maybe now the heater would blow..but when I tried turning it on again, it cut the stereo out again..
Why are these somehow connected?
Is this a fuse or something?

So...when I try the heat, it doesn't blow AND cuts the stereo out..
what gives??!

soudnds like you have some skinned wire(s) back there... if i were you, i'd make good and sure your wiring is good...

oh, and do the usual fuse check...

and yeah, I'd do what Vanillasky said and check your wiring. It sounds like a short thats messing with one of your fuseblocks.

LOL, dude its in the ingnition switch! Mine does the EAXCT SAME THING. Next time that happens wiggle the key around alitle and see if it comes back on.

does not mean it wont come back, so when u have time do fix it immediately.
