I originally saw this on www.cb7tuner.com

They're down with custom work and seem like they're alot higher quality than Pacesetter.

Let me know what you think.

seems like they only have cable type shifters. 3rd gens use linkage. short shifters for linkage have their cons u should consider too. They will eat up syncros much faster then a stock shifter. And if u have the pacesetter which i had a while back, if that adjustable ball starts turning on u it will mess up ur transmission.

Damn Mike, I didn't know that...thanks for the info.

By the way, are those ITB's in your avatar for the A20?

You can also just custom make it yourself. Just weld in an extra piece in the lower part of the shifter to make it longer. Be sure to weld it properly.

a short shifter is not always good LIke mike said. It was already discussed in many of the threads and people just stayed away from it, but only the uninformed bought em. Our trannies have bad synchros to begin with. With the second and third and reverse synchros being the first ones to go bad. The thing is, short throw shifters are for fast shifting and what not for racing as we all know. and our trannies do not like to be shifted fast even tho they are 'synchronized' trannies. Anyway, If i was you, i would just save that extra 60 or 70 bux and put in something else.

Besides, with our seating position, a short shifter might be a lil hard to use. Besides, i like the stock height cause its comfortable to hold despite the fact it sticks out a horse dick, it does not ruin the interior much.

i just chopped the top off... of course this doesn't make it a true short shifter but it lowers the ball to a nice spot and it is technically a shorter throw, barely though... if you wanted a short shift i think you can make one out of 2 metal squares with adjustable bolt holes (like how you can adjust the lower transmission mount back and forth by loosening the bolt and slididing the assembly)
I have pics if someone wants to host them

That's awesome Caleb. They look like they're alot higher quality than the Pacesetter, so it probably wouldn't damage our transmissions.

At the very least I want a shift knob/boot from them. The knob looks like it would fit your hand perfectly.
