Ok for those that remember me, i'm back now.

THis is the story, for the last year I've been without the Honda, auto transmission died start of this year, so it's taken a long time to get it done.

Mainly money reasons, dodgy mechanics and difficulty in getting a DECENTLY priced transmission plagued it all.

Finally today its back. I was about to sell it, then changed my mind. At the moment the car is un-registered, and as far as i'm concerned its a project to do.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will start sanding the paint back, (removing all the dodgy accident repair work from when I first bought the car) fixing all the dents, some mine, some others, and some from the car sitting in the dodgy mechanics yard.

I'm planning to repsray in either the original B49M blue, or maybe a slightly darker blue. Or possibly what i'd really like is to do the car in Ford Phantom Purple, which is a colour on the 260kw 6cyl Falcon XR6 Turbo's :D Exclusive to australia. Engine wise, the car is in dire need of a tune up, oil change, new spark plugs, proper transmission service, TV adjustments, brake fluid change, new brake pads, new tyres, interior shampoo. The works. The body work will be my priority for the moment, I just just want the car to look good till I can afford something newer and better. If all goes well I might be able to eventually afford an XR6 turbo in another 1.5-2 years.

As for me, lifes alright. Still studying, half way through a diploma in electronic engineering. I'm currently working in sales for a Woolworths out electrical retail outlet. Just bought my first investment property, so my days of willy nilly spending are pretty much over. Been with my girlfriend Sarah for the past one and a half years.

Car wise, I sold the Mitsubishi Starion/Conquest i'd been working on early in the year, got sick of the money pit it was becoming, I miss working on it, and intend to own another one. But after realising it was going to cost me alot to get it to suit my vision, I just realised I couldn't afford it at this present point in life.

Next, in Australia Ford is about to unleash the FPV (Ford Performance Vehichles) Typhoon, its a modified XR6 turbo, with a 6speed transmission, turbo'd inline 4ltr motor, with 270kw at the wheels and 550nM or torque. More than any other australian production car, and for $56,000 Australian or about $39200 US its very affordable. It's got more torque than the 6.0Ltr LS2 powered HSV Commodores.

Man its good to me back, good to see alot of familiar names still around.

Joni, where on the east coast were you? I see that's an XE station wagon, got a heap of parts for one of those laying around. Not a bad car, mate of mine has an XD the model before on which he's working on alot, they competed at Bathurst, i've never been a fan of 'em though.

Just bought an aircompressor yesterday, need to get a gravity feed spray gun, will start getting some photo's of the project as it begins.

Next 2 weeks I hope to start sanding the body down.

Ummm what's happened to me since my last visit?

Well I repainted the Honda, it got a bit dinged up again grr!! transmission came near familiar, I split up with my girlfriend of 3 years....which inspired me to get a new car...

So the Honda sat around in the parking for a few weeks, I bought a 1998 Holden VT Commodore, which is still stock. Handles well, goes well, 3.8ltr V6...looks nice, will get around to putting rims, tint, new stereo..all the usual, but atm im not spending money ATM as im heading to europe for a month in jan-feb.

Still I might go stick a Kenwood USB head unit in, keep the factory speakers as they are front splits and perform quite decent off the factory headunit....got a Subby and amp laying around at a friends so i'll stick it all in...all in good time.

Havent got any new photos of my new car, but this one:

http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/HOLDEN/COMMODORE/Victoria/1776444.aspx

Is ABSOLUTELY identical...

Colour and all....hate the rims! they are a special edition rims and they are so GRANDPA! GRRRRRR!! HATE THEM! Want a set of Monaro (Pontiac GTO) wheels.

Beauty is with this car, at least 1. Parts are cheap. 2. Parts are easy to get

Oh yeah, sold the Honda to an old tennant....still going as far as I know, although that 2nd transmission was definately on its way out.....
