View Full Version : Know how to find p/s leak?

i have a leak that i cannot find on my power steering. it usually goes down fast to about an inch below the lower line, and then slowly goes down to the bottom. any methods on finding the leak?

well if u have a leak, it would show up outside where its leakin. u cant really miss it. its usually the power steering line on the front of the engine that gets leaky. there was a post with the same issue.

I've had to reseal my PS pump and replace my steeering rack. I think that he previous owner didn't use Honda PSF. So those are some toher areas that may be worth a closer look. Either way, if you're loosing fluid that fast you should be able to find a puddle and trace it back to its source like smufguy said.

yeah, wipe out oily crap from/ near the ps pump and see if there is anythign leaking. I had a headgasket leak and i did not know till i power washed it. When something is clean, its easy to spot any leaks/wears.
