Since I have my system apart right now, I'd thought I would show ya a few of the behind the curtains pics.

First up is the glovebox amp, the 'sleight of amp'. Not exactly a place you'd think to find one normally. It also makes adjusting the gain a snap. The only headache of this (and my entire system) is the unbelievable amount of wiring. Here are a couple shots of the organized spaghetti just for the glovebox.

Looks clean! Thats a really good out of sight-out of mind install. You have the wiring under control; it looks like you've been putting alot of time and thought into this setup. I'd like to see pics of the rest of your setup..

Thanks :) If you don't keep that wiring under control from the start, it will get to be one huge mess. This is the second time I have rewired everything... either from crappy components or engine noise.

Those are my Pyle components and my reupholstered deck. I used a DX deck because they don't have the cutouts for the rear speakers so I didn't have to use the stock pods. Makes it look so much better.

Clarion SRK-201 center channel. It's the model down from the half din one they sell now. My only complaint is that it doesn't deliver much of any mids. Too much to ask from a 2" speak I guess.

My old headunit before I upgraded to an in dash DVD unit, my DTS processor and the controller to my 10 disc mp3 changer. The changer only works through FM modulation, though I am working to change that. It's a great jukebox though, load up a ton of music and hit random. The thing also has a search feature... you can enter the name of a song and it will find it for you. Better than hitting next track some 200 times.

Back shot of my DTS processor. Lots and lots of preouts. The amp in the glovebox powers the fronts and rears and is plugged straight into that. The subwoofer has its own amp, as does the center.

Oh look, more RCAs!!! This is the back of the DVD headunit. Needless to say you can see how easy the wiring can get out of control.

Stock CD console after I did some work to fit my decoder. I had the thing stuffed in the bottom of a set of cupholders that now have a new home. It would sometimes try to slide out and cause trouble. Not anymore :)

I'll post more as I get the whole mess back in the car.

you wanna see out of controll wiring, ill dig up some pics from my new 1990 prelude si, it = insane. In the pic, note the constant and aux power wires.... Then in the trunk they had the 2 rear speakers connected to the deck, and to each other, and to a little box that converted the wires to female RCA plugs, but there is no amp wires run or anything. very very aggrivating, but I get to gut the stereo and rewire everything....properly, WITH SOLDER!! these people couldnt use a crimp connecter if their life depended on it.
