I'm trying to figure out if its possible to drive with chains on when your car is lowered. My car is lowered about 2 inches does anyone know if they will hit on anything. I might just have to put them on and find out. Any info helps

Don't know Matt, it should be o.k. You will have problems if the chains break. I'm lowered 2.5 so I hope we can still use chains. Just try it out and let me know how the worked.

 you 2 should get married. :D

i wouldnt put tire chains on a lowered car just from my experience last year with my bucket wagon. Plus, they're liable to fuck up your fenders if they're not strapped down right.

If you're worried about old school chains you should try using the cable type; they're lower profile. best bet is to give it a try and be our guinea pig :rice:

I dont want to have to buy another set of chains. There not that important to me. Besides the set I bought last winter I only used once, but that was when my car was stock.

ah rockin the family van!

any way the cable type chains are not that bad. but the adjuster cable will smack the upper balljoint . and if you dont put them on right you will not have a ball joint. i used them six times last year when i delivered parpers. i only got stuck once but the snow was two feet high. oh yeah if you cant make it up a hill goin the right direction, spin the car around and go up backwards. works everytime
