Hi there,

Can someone please tell me how much will this part cost? It is cracked at the plastic housing and there is some serious hissing coming from it. I believe someone stated that it is a Thermovalve, however all the auto parts stores I've tried don't even have it in their system. Is this a dealer only item? Do I even really need it?

Are you really EFi.

I have an 88 and I dont recall that sensor. Prolly need it if you still gotta do emissions. Thats off the thermostat housing looks like. Not sure what its called. Shouldn;t be to pricey.

That is an online version of the official Honda parts catalog. You can order the part from the dealership that runs the site or just call up your local dealer.

Good luck!

part stores call them a "ported vacumm switch" or just "vacumm sitch" i got mine from O'Reilly's for like $15. but that link K-roy gave is the best way to go.

Thanks for that name. I looked up "ported vacuum switch" and saw somthing that resembled it about 75%. So that's what it is called? Not Thermovalve or something else? I will call the dealer tomorrow and see how much it will run.

BTW, yes I am definately a 1986 fuel injected LX-i :)

Be real careful removing it. It looks like it's about ready to break off if you put a wrench on there.
