ok i took my tranny out and while cleaning it i found several cracks on the inside near the drive train i was wondering what i have to do about this do i need a new transmission? or will it work fine it worked fine before so i dunno please help

if the cracks are not severe and aren't causing leaks you should be ok. it is very common for our transmissions to have small hairline cracks in the casing around the differential and shift rod area.

are you sure they are even cracks... most times its just casting flash. Unless you can see somthing leaking through it or its gonna break or somthing... leave it alone

well my trans cracked and look what happend..... it ok tho, i LOVE my si tranny

yeah i looked closer at it and it is probably casting flash sorry never seen anything like this well you live and learn and dont make the same mistake again. :uh:

if in doubt... grind it down and see what it looks like... carefully.
