View Full Version : I think I messed up the hoses on CVC valve (Black Box)

After cleaning the EGR valve, and still continuing to get code 12, someone on this forum recommended to clean the hose going from the EGR to inside the black box.

I found something called the air chamber. It has 3 hoses going to it. But after I removed the 3 hoses to clean them out with carb cleaner, I forgot which ones went where. I tried to connect them the way I thought they went but then the car started stumbling.

Can someone please verify (by photo) or other detailed info, which hose goes where on the air chamber? I know that they lead to the EGR solenoid, EGR and CVC valve. Thanks. Next time I will remember to take a photograph when dealing with vacuum hoses.

Look to the ShopManual on Paul's site to vacuum diagram picture.
Everything described there...

I checked Paul's site many times. I have the fuel injected engine. Do you have a page number on the shop manual?

If you look at the above link I gave, that is how I currently have installed the hoses on the air chamber. Does it matter where those hoses go on the air chamber as long as one of them goes to the EGR solenoid, EGR and CVC vavle?

I am just concerned about hooking them up in the right order. The link you gave me does show an air chamber but it looks different than mine.
