im in the middle of ordering a set of GC coil overs and it asks what the prefered spring rate is OR give a breif descrition of what you want. i havent actually ordered them yet becuase im not sure to go with what i put or get an actual spring rate.
so far im giving them a breif description of:
Coilover Conversion kit, 86-89 Honda Accord
Shock Type that is on the car: Koni
Desired Spring Rate (If unsure of rate give brief description of expected usage): they are koni adjustable struts going on a daily driver but i want a street/strip feel. i do go to the local track often.
any suggestions??

you need to tell them what kind of handling you expect from the car, and what kind of ride is tolerable to you...

myself I would go with 300 front and 350 rear. It's not ultimately stiff but matched with S/T stabilizer bars it should be optimal for what I do. Commute. :)
thats my own preference.

i would go 350/350 or 350/300
in the accord i wouldnt bother putting stiffer springs on the rear... but matching the rates would be ok i think.
(i have the stock ground controls on my car now (250/350) and its really nice, but the rear could be a bit tighter)

not to steal the thread or anything, but i was looking at this setup also and was wondering what the stock spring stiffness is. The stickies just have ohter springs/coilovers % stiffness above stock with no numbers for either.

Stock springs are 211 lbf/in front 117lbf/in rear.
