Ok, here are the pics again...can someone help me locate the PCV valve? I have looked for it for about an hour and just can't seem to find it. It isn't in the valve cover like I am used to.

Still can't find where the PCV valve is. Can anyone point me in the general area?

its on the intake manifold between two of the runners. you should see a hose on it.

i've gotten that responce from a few people about my 87 lxi... I don't even have that hose:werd: ... i even went to the dealership and asked. they gave me three places to look... the one you mentioned... one underneath the manifold... and one in some tube on the left of the car... they wouldn't believe me when i said it wasn't in any of those places... i made them look:cool: , and they couldn't find it either, so... could this be a uniqueness about the 87 or does anyone else know where to look

I still have one hose to check, but I am thinking the same thing - My car does not have a PCV valve. :thumbdn:

I am pretty sure this is it! Here is a picture and then a close up. It is a picture of the hose pulled off of it. The PCV is the greasy looking round thing. The hose is the one with the rubber insulation around it. And this is located to the right of the EGR valve, at the top of the left most injector (standing in front of the car and looking down into the engine compartment), and it is below the throttle body/plenum. Hope that makes sense.

Well, I can't seem to pull the pcv valve out. Here is a picture of the new one. There are no threads on it, so it looks like ti just pulls out. Advice? Is this in fact the PCV valve in my other pictures?

So does the second and third picture down look like it is the pcv valve? I am hoping for an answer before daylight is gone so I can hopefully change it out if that is in fact it. I am now doubting if it is though since it didn't come out with a pair of pliers. I am thinking that the pcv valve is in the middle of two hoses somewhere, if in fact someone didn't leave it off my car.

Look in the how-to or FAQ on the site. It's been posted with pics. The valve just pulls out. No un-screwing necessary. Grab it with a pair of needle nosed pliers and yank on it.

Also, make your pics 800 X 600, not everyone runs the huge shit of their computers.

Try prying between the valve and where it seals on the engine with a screwdriver. After I did that and spun it and pulled with a wrench, mine finally came out. Just make sure to wear some hand protection when pulling or you'll be sure to put some kind of gash in your hand when it does decide to let loose. I wouldn't take it to the dealer since if they break it (which they might do pretty fast since they arent that used to working on old hondas with horribly stick parts) to fix it would be a huge bill for you to pay. Better if you break it and clean up your own mess yourself.

Yeah thats it. It just presses into a groment.

If you cant get it out spray it with carb cleaner real good and run it.

If you don't mind then can you please tell me where does the temperature sending unit harness comes from as i have 87 lxi and i found out that there is nothing attached to it(plug missing) to the temperature unit ( temperature sensor.sensor is about center of intake near firewall). my car has a history of overheating and rough idle now i think that must be the reason (nothing is attached to it) and can not located any free/hanging wire harness that suppose to go to this unit.
picuture would be more help ful .
Thx

yes, that is the PCV in the last picture on your intake manifold by your injectors.

Take needle nose pliers and grab it, then pull it out at an ANGLE!!!

It took me forever to figure that out, it came out easy when i did it at an angle, otherwise it wouldn't budge.

How come the EGR pipe looks all crimped?

You should keep the heat shield on the manifold...
