86 Lxi BT engine w/broken auto trans

R there other transmissions that bolt to the BT engine?
Automatic or 5 speed whateva fits.

well unfortunatlly not many trannies do bolt to it. All of the trannies that bolt up to an A-series engine will bolt up no problem. (86-89 accord) and i think a 2g prelude...can't remember the years. If you do a 5spd swap be prepared for a bit of work. there is a list of what you need and what not on this forum, you should check it out there.

Any tranny that is from A20 will fit. it doesn't matter if it came out from Prelude or accord.
prelude came with two engines. A18 carbed and A20 EFI. if you get carbed one, make sure you get the flywheel or what ever you need to connect to the engine. If you get one from A20, don't worry about it. it will bolt right up. they both will bolt up, but A18 had smaller bell housing so if you are going to try to use A20 flywheel and clutch, it won't work. it has to be from A18.

If you do convert to 5 speed, make sure you get all the parts first and take you time.
