yeah its supposed to prevent axial twist of the chassie under high speed conering. While the front and rear strut bars and lower tie bars regulate proper suspension geometry, nothing was done to prevent the chassie twist. By using this (goes in the rear right below the rear bench seat) and bolts up to the side of the door sils to give the car more rigidity. I have also seen guys in the circuit racing run a X brace in the front too. But thats just too much.

For a car of our sort, with the age and actual body metal composition (older cars have more % of iron as compared to newer cars) in their chassie and body panels, this would be of a lil help.

if you wanna really really stiffen up the car, a 6 pt roll cage would make it like the whole car was cnc machined from a block of steel

thats what i was thinking. i had just never seen one of these and didnt see the benefits really. i mean, the amount of support it looks like it holds wouldnt be much in street racing and wouldnt be enuff for circuit racing.

Yeah my thoughts exactly toofast... With a 6pt and some stiff springs you should be able to drive your front tire up on a curb as you pull up to your house and park, and the back tire should be off the ground.
