Time for a new clutch... I'm pretty sure the pressure plate is screwed. I had to get my baby towed home today after the clutch gave up. I couldn't get it into gear at all. I'm thinking one or more of the pressure plate springs came out and is blocking shite up :thumbdn: . That happened before with my nissan pulsar, so now its back to underneath the biatch -Damn I hate driveaxles. :rocket:
I'm thinking of going with an Exedy clutch; i hope that'll be available at my parts store when I get there in the morning... I'll take some pics of the carnage...

Update on the clutch: We've had over a foot of snow so my baby is still waiting to get her clutch put in.. then it'll be chains and the parking lot..hehe
I'll get some pics, hopefully of both

Finally! I finished yesterday; it was a bloody spring that had worked its way out of the clutch disk. I got a tredex repkit, b/c my parts store had it in stock and the other option was a fenco (shudder). I've used tredex b4 and they're ok.
Its snowing again(last pic), and my tires are crap in the snow, but at least she's fixed.

What year pulsar? I have one of those to use as a backup car. It has 243,000 miles, exactly the same as my accord :werd:

It was an 87 Nissan Pulsar Nx SE.... Double overhead cam, but they only made the SE engine and tranny for one year, so parts were a biatch and I highly recommend avoiding them.... I rebuilt both the engine and tranny and replaced the clutch, plugs, plug boots, brakes all around etc.. then I put it in a ditch late one night on a wet road. Damned nissan.. Go honda!

dam annoying that i had the same thing happen on my Clutchmaster after 20K considering they cost 4 times as much as OEM replacement which seem to grip just as well and last longer!! The only way to elimate that problem is to get an ACT solid 4/6 puck disc. Your disk looks the same as mine with those rubber blocks, done 10K worth of high stress track days and dragging and hasn't broken yet? Anyone know if the rubber blocks are better than springs? only reason i can think their bad is rubber perishes over time but obviously with the amount of clutches we break thats not really toomuch of an issue!!

actually, check out clutchnets' discs... the springs are kind of pocketed so they cant come out. The springs are better than the rubber blocks, they disintegrate over time.

Now I know where I'm buying my next clutch.... Clutchnet has some wicked stuff!
I'll be pulling my spare tranny soon for a rebuild, so maybe once that is done I'll upgrade the clutch, depending on the car funds situation. :alc:

My '89 Accord was towed home the other day. I guess I adjusted the clutch cable one too many times. I'll drive my other Accord and wait till spring to do the clutch.

unorthodox does a ally flywheel, but if you fancy something better get a Teg flywheel and fit a teg clutch, 86-88 1.6 DOHC they do solid discs with different compounds as well as ceramic with sprung or solid hub. some cool stuff on their.
