I'm up for a spring meet, as well as a kitsap county mini meet. Hehehe. Maybe once I don't have a retarded headlight anymore, which should be soon since I bought a new headlight assembly on eBay, it's gray, but the wrong gray, but at least it isn't like green against gray and will work for now. Fender is still going to have to wait. I think I'm going to do a 5-spd swap this summer if I can find a job here soon

Hey if your looking for a gray fender i saw one a couple weeks ago when i was at eastside auto wrecking on highway 303. I'm thinking it was in good shape, its on the driver side, i dont know if thats the side your looking for. I plan on going out there next week,i can check on it if you want. Im planning on a b20/5 speed swap this summer also, thats if my 91 is up and running.

That would be cool if you could check that out if you're going over there soon, since the driver's side is what I need. The main thing is finding out which color gray it is. If it turns out being NH-502M (asturias gray), let me know, since I've only found a couple that color and they were in Woodinville and they wanted way too much for them, plus had dents apparently.

Yeah im heading over there on tuesday during my lunch break so i'll check it out for you. I don't now if you need a left turn signal, but I have one, I just got my jdm's so i wont need it anymore.

So is there anyone else from kitsap county on here? I see a few fixed up 3gs around town so there has to be some more,i think. But if any of ya'll got a date in mind let me know.

Jay's89Lxi
01-11-2005, 05:28 PM
Hey Underdog, i checked out that fender for you and it was kinda covered in frost, but from what i could see it looked good. Its not the gray you were looking for,but its a dark gray. If you do go check it out just tell em you called and they said they would sell u a fender for $30 or something, cause a few of those old guys throw out crazy prices. I can get the actual color code for ya if you want cause im going back tomorrow to get a few more parts for my 91 5speed swap.

i would be up for it if it's not to far past kelso/longview area. I know you guys don't know me much but i would show up in my lxi on a weekend.

yeah i don't think any of us know eachother so it'll be tight checking out everyone's ride.

so is there any new plans for the meet, i was thinking about longview, kelso is my home town and i go up there every month. it's a good town, it has two casinos (one is 18 and up) a really good club and ALOT of cruzing. i don't know if you guys have ever had a meet there but on a friday or saterday night with good weather your talking 100+ cars on a 3 mile strip it's nucking futs. Even if a few people aren't 21 we could just cruz and look at all the cars. Just a thought.

3gn86lxi
01-18-2005, 07:15 PM
hhmmm...any more ideas??? :)

Underdog
01-18-2005, 07:36 PM
I know this is kinda outta the way for Oregon people, but Pacific Raceways in Kent (Seattle International Raceway) has like test and tunes at the drag strip on some friday's in spring. There's also the Carquest NHRA Nationals in July, but that's kinda closer to summer. There's also some road course action there too, the vintage races there are pretty sweet in July, and they also have the Pacific Raceways Grand Prix in June, I think that's Nextel West series. On second thought, there's Portland International Raceway too, they've got American LeMans series and Champ Car races...

snow_man_20

portland or woodburn dragstrip would be cool.

i would like to see the dragstrip in seattle but i think it would be a little to far for me.

PIR in portland has friday and saturday night drags all spring, summer and early fall. they're mainly used for test and tune and legal street drags and stuff.

NXracer, hey your a moderator!!! congrats ! It's probibly old news but it's new to me, didn't see the thread for it. woodburn does the same thing but it's only friday nights for $25 entry fee. I never been to the portland one only drove by it so that would be cool too. also a little closer to washington peeps. i also never raced on a dragstrip seen it alot but never done it.

86AccordLxi
01-19-2005, 08:02 AM
Portland is $8 to watch and $20 (or $25) to race. The turnout varies, but sometimes there's a TON of cars. We've met up there before and it's usually fun.

Not sure how far south us up here will go. Portland would almost be overnight for most of us. Then your talkin hotel, meals, ect. could get expensive.
There is also Auto cross at Bremerton National Airport, not sure of the details about times and when, but I can find out.

well some where close to the boarder and maybe we can't get Chris to show up with his beater 240. lets keep it around spring march/april. I have plans for a big summer meet, with some dyno fun maybe late june.

Underdog
01-20-2005, 11:02 PM
Dyno fun... That would be pimp to see my car lay down like 80HP at the wheels, lol. Sounds like fun though seriously, it would be cool to see how much power a bunch of 3g's are putting down at the wheels, especially your car justin

snow_man_20
01-20-2005, 11:57 PM
dyno would be cool, about hotels, i work at a big hotel chain as long as theres a LaQuinta (2 in portland) near the meet i get sweet discounts. But i would have to know the town and the dates in advance.

Justin86

Underdog
01-21-2005, 06:08 PM
You're right, I'll bet the intake and exhaust added like 3HP max, lol. Portland would be max for me too, since it's about 3 hours to get there from here if you drive the speed limit.

Jay's89Lxi
01-21-2005, 06:09 PM
Portland would probably be the max for me also.
I didn't even know they did auto cross at the Bremerton airport, damn where have i been. :uh:

Street Legal/Late Night:
$8/Adults, $5/Children
All Racers $20

For the first couple of test and tunes (march 4th and 11th--both fridays) gates open at 4pm. For late night drags, gates usually open at 7 or 8pm and run til 1 or 2am.

I'll try to check dates and stuff, and I'll volunteer my place for a BBQ afterwards.

I'm up for autocross too. I don't think we'd be too competitive in the class we get stuck in since our cars are modified, but it would still be hella fun to compare times and stuff. Can you find out what's required as far as safety gear and stuff too?

3gn86lxi
01-23-2005, 09:34 PM

01-23-2005, 09:41 PM
Spent all day saturday moving stuff into storage since we're temporarily living in our family cabin for a few months (plus I'm living with a friend during weekdays) while they get our manufactured home put up. There are still people living on our property that we're buying, along with like a dozen cars and a school bus. The cops are supposed to come take them away soon, and then they can clean the place up. My alternator died, so I don't know if I'll be able to come pick up the cover and lip from you this week, depends if I get around to trying to replace the alternator myself or just bring it in to auto shop at school. I've already got a new one though.

3gn86lxi
01-23-2005, 09:57 PM
Wow, very eventful. So the property ....you parents bought it, and the people who sold it arrent leaving??? Any good parts cars??
Good luck with the alt. have it done in auto shop, make sure you dont mess it up! The lip and valve cover will be here, so no rush.

Underdog
01-23-2005, 10:01 PM
Well, the manufactured home company is in the final stages of buying the property, and these people haven't payed the current owner rent for over a year. THe current owner is actually being fined daily for keeping them on the property, so the court order to have them taken out is in it's final stages. As far as parts cars...they're all junky POS cars. Probably full of drugs and stuff too, the place is really bad right now.

Yeah, it's not slow. It's a '88 though, not one of the new ones. It's supercharged, spearco intercooler, cuzco crank pulley (10-12psi), some sort of header and exhaust, hks intake, and it's bored out .020 over with JE forged pistons :D. I haven't driven it in forever...maybe I'll go bug him this weekend :). It's a little ass happy, esp in the wet.

And in regards to the meet, I'm obviously always down for a portland/vancouver meet. Maybe we should do another astoria cruise or something similar (columbia river gorge and some of the backroads there?). Plus, starting in March there's autocrosses and drags to go to.

Naw,trust me man,it aint about being cheap, its just the time spent. Plus my sis lives in Portland so theres always a place for me to stay. I just have plans to go back to L.A. this summer and im saving my vacation days for then. If there is another meet down there this summer after I get back i'll probably go.

Alright...here are some dates for autox guys, let me know what works for you.
Sunday Feb. 20th
Sunday March 13th
Sunday March 20th.
Registration is at 7:30-8:30 AM, they will inspect wheel bearings, breakes, seatbelts, rims. No loose items in car, or trunk. I don't know the cost, and we will be racing with Bremerton Sports Car Club. They are the ONLY club who welcomes anyone.
They have more dates also, if these don't work for us.
Later. :alc:

I'm up for any of the March dates, but I might still drive out to the one this month just to see how everything is cordinated and to get more info. When you say they inspect bearings and brakes, do I have to take off my rims, or just my center caps? Are there anyother restrictions we should know about?

check their web site. bremerton sports car club, they list what they will inspect. they prolly just jack the car up and wiggle the tires.

i know how that is! Feels good to drive it again dont it? We'll have to set something up, although my car isnt in any condition to drive far, so it'll have to be around here for the time being if i'm gonna show up. Broken struts are bad kids. :D

Comcast had a deal going for 1 week, 14.99 a month for 3 months, i called last thursday, and they said that was the last night for the deal, of course i had to pay 7 bucks more to have theyre basic tv stations, cuz my new appartment dont have cable, so all in all i pay 22 bucks a month for tv and broadband, but i dont have channles after #34,

wait... you live in salem.. dont you have Charter? :uh:

4.1mb/s  fuckers had to come out 3 days in a row tho, kept givin me shittie modems
