Ok guys.

Last night I went out and flipped my air box lid when I ran over the thread about it (planning on getting a CAI for a civic and modding it in time) and this morning when I woke up I decided to run out and give the car a test run, now mind you its about 30 degrees out today, pretty cold for georgia, and I'm not sure if that effected it or not, because I have noticed this before at higher RPM's.

I decided to leave her in first and cruise around the neighborhood, and every time I open her up and get to about 6k+ RPM's, the car seems to start choking, I can feel the accel going in and out, and it feels like she just isnt getting power from somewhere, any clue what may be going on?

the accel going in and out...
tell me did this happen once you got up to 50mph@3,500-up rpms?

I dont think so, I've never noticed it because for the most part I dont keep the RPM's too high when I'm past first/second gear, I will go try it now though and get back to you in a minute.

Ok, it doesnt seem to have anything to do with the speed I'm goin, its just that when I get near the redzone, the car seems to lose the umph it had getting to the redzone, know what I mean?

A jittery throttle response at rpms above idle could be from:

Loose boosters... or maybe the fuel pump.

If the outised air ir really cold it could ice the carb.

If it's speed related it could be wheel allignment.

I just like that she is a she :)

But really, its probably from the fuel pump, ive heard 3rd gens have some problems with that

its because not all cars need to go to redline ;) where the power starts to drop is where to shift...

yeah, i'm pritty sure peak power on our cars is before red line. you prob just go over that and then you can feel it let off right before shifting at redline and landing right before peak power in the next gear.
