you kinda got to set it on the car to see if ya like it, its kinda small so i think itll work out fine. at least its not one of those huge park benches.

Yeah, lay it on the back of the car so we can see it.

as soon as my wife gets home with the digi cam i will, i installed the same spoiler on her ford contour, i get tons of these at work for free as people order them dont like them and my co. throws them away....so i do the old "wait till everyone leaves and garbage pick" trick. sucks b/c they dont let us have anything they throw out, but ive gotten seat heaters, spoilers, extra paint (enough to paint my car) bondo and primer......my employer wastes way too much money. she should be home within the next hour or so.......

it might be curvey, but I think it looks better than no spoiler.

the paint looks like a perfect match too.

A little too curvey.

It is a little curvy, but you can't argue with free! It is pretty small/low to the trunk lid... I'd paint it at the same time you do the car and see how it looks..... I'd probably go with it though; the coupe is more rounded looking than the sedan.
I used to work at a place that threw away lots of stuff too... it kinda makes you sick when they just don't care.

i dont know whos it is, aweek or so ago i found this site and being a new (used) accord owner i had to join this forum. I did a search on google for 1989 honda accord and the pic came up, so i made a sig with it. i will make a new sig as alot of people have asked me if it is mikes car (i dont know who mike is) and i dont want to cause problems over a silly sig, lol so please dont hold it against me!! lol

If you want a small stock type wing that flows well with our accord I would go with the 89-91 prelude spoiler or the 90-93 accord spoiler. Both are quite subtle and can be found cheap if you find a car in the J/y with one on.
I vote against the contour wing since its roundness doesn't at all follow the squareness of the back of the accord.

BTW kauffman your sig is too big. http://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?t=28448

too curvy maing. If you're looking for a nice low-profile spoiler, get the stock 88-89 LXi wing. Its really nice and flows with the car.

here's a look at what i'm talking about

man i miss that car *sniff*

yeah, that's the way it was meant to be!
the stock 88-91 prelude wing also looks really clean and very similar.

but, as mentioned above, you just can't beat free, and it would be original too.

Actually, I've changed my mind.

Cheap awesomeness is better than free mediocricy.

Hey kauffman, what colour are you painting your car? I'm going with a blue sometime this spring, but I was wondering if you are going to stick with red or switch it up..

88accordalltheway
01-19-2005, 07:21 PM
yeah, if i was you, i would not put the spoiler on. You work at a car place, get a better one, even though its free, i dont think you should put it on there.

i got one sort of box-y like that, see if you think this one would work out better.i was thinking either going red or black. is this sig good enough for you people? ive never seen a board so damn pickyhttp://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid155/peefa764842602499a5ff0bd0d1c97c7d/f5666ce5.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid155/p705b8dde66aec64f2fb39a223154bfbf/f5666ce8.jpg

Sorry about picking on you with the sig, it's just that we went through this whole phase over a year ago about how the sigs were too big and how much the big ones annoyed the people using 56k or small screens. So we brought in new rules to make everyone happy.

I like that sig a lot more anyway

And that wing might work out better, being boxier. Pop it on the trunk and let's see!

well we just got like 8" of snow, so it might be awhile before i post pics since you wont be able to tell anyways b/c of the snow. no prob about the sig thing, im new its my fault (when all else fails blame it on the new guy) :dunno:
