yeah I love it-cant wait to find a car to put it on-I would put it on the 86-but I would rather get my LX-i coupe 5-speed and go from there-now I have more stuff to put in my garage and just stare at it :bowrofl:

Is there any way to adjust the height? Still is a cool setup but i was hoping it was a full body coilover.

Good find for sure!

wprocomp
01-27-2005, 06:17 PM
no I wish it was too-but its better than spending out the ass for GC and konis new-the ride height should be around 1.5"-2.0" lower-not for sure yet-it will defenitly be lower than what my car is now though-

RobT5580
01-27-2005, 06:21 PM
I assume you can swap out the springs if your not satisfied.

wprocomp
01-27-2005, 06:26 PM

well in this case rice is good! if its rice. anyway, thats great. i would totally spend the money on that set up. just the fact its a mugen product. those would be so much nicer than some old drop springs with the manual adjust struts and shocks. well ya know what to do man. if you can, hook us up with so info on that. that'd be cool if king motor sport sold that kit.

It doesn't matter what you paid for it, To me it would be worth every penny considering that its Mugen. And an exact application item for the 3g.

What gives, just give up the info. :hs:

I already called that company and they are out of everything and wont be getting more. Im going to look into the suspension through my vendor but its not looking promising since finding parts for a 3rd gen in Japan is very hard at this point. I already had him search for some stuff with no luck but im interested in that suspension since it makes changing the settings simple and more comparible on the road. I considered getting my Koni's externally setup but i would really like a full body coilover so im persuing a few things at the moment.

nswst8
01-30-2005, 04:44 PM
He wants to know how much everyone is willing to pay for these and where shipping will be too.

So if we can get wprocomp to give us a price he paid, then I will give him a ballpark figure of what he can expect as a profit. He only looks for stuff he can make a buck on, so be realistic.

If you get any results on the coilover please post. If you made the konis externally adjustable, couldn't you use the tein controller or something similar to adjust them though. I mean all it is is some actuators on top of the struts that turn. Shouldn't be that hard to rig up.

As far as th Mugen stuff see if you can get some specs on them. Spring rates, lowering height, etc. That is of course if its not to secretive to let out.

RobT5580
01-30-2005, 05:14 PM
Well if i make mine externally adjustable i wouldnt mind doing it by hand although a controller would be nice. Im considering sending out a front and rear strut setup to Tein to compare or make a full body coilover. This is not going to happen anytime soon because i have other priorities but i hate not having even ride heights and im not a fan of sleeve coilovers so this would solve all my issues and allow me to get the controller if it worked out.

As for the mugen stuff i will let you know since i know you would put up the money for something like this. I gotta order a bracket from Japan so i will ask my exporter this week.

Actually this part of my post was directed to wprocomp figuring he might have some sort of spec sheet with the struts he just got.

Of the person in Japan looking for the Mugen variable suspension kit.

[email protected]

It looks like this person (Annette) knows the demand for JDM parts in the USA is great so he might prove to be a good contact. Email her and show the demand for this kit.

I already emailed the pictures of the kit, but a part number would be better.

yeah like b20a motors with the ecu.

RobT5580

My vendor contacted Mugen and they are not available anymore. I would think it is slightly possible to find one on a shelf like we see here but it would be hard to find.

wprocomp
02-01-2005, 08:47 AM
the part # is 50000-XB4-K0SJ-B2

like I had metioned before, this suspension is going to be hard to find-if not impossible in the box or used for that matter, guys the price I paid for this-I could have done a B20 swap with trans for what this cost,so if have $1000,buy it-rob,I had contacted tein themselves through a friend of mine whom speaks japanese, they will not make a full sleeve coilover by special request for any car-they are very difficult to deal with, plus the price would be so much, only the hardcore accord owners would buy it-so there would be no market for it unfortunitly-as for the spring rates-theirs a chart in the instructions with some numbers,I am trying to understand it,but its all in japanese so its hard

RobT5580
02-01-2005, 08:57 AM
Thanks for posting the part number i will see what i can do but i realize in Japan even seeing a 3rd gen is probably rare due to their emmissions/car crap. If all fails i will have Ground Control Sleeves welded to my Koni's and send them out for revalving to be externally controlled. I just dont like sleeve coilovers and how they mount.

Nice find and let us know how it is when you install it.

wprocomp
02-01-2005, 09:04 AM
well thats the problem-I dont have a car that I want to put it on yet-until I find a LX-i coupe or SE-i coupe with a 5-speed,this lady that lives my apartments has a 89 SE-i 5-speed coupe-I want the thing so damn bad its not even funny-even though its a little rough-I dont care-its an SE-i with a 5-speed

I am also searching for the mugen rear bumper and sideskirts-from what I understand-erebunis kit is a close copy of the mugen aerokit, with subtile changes

NXRacer
02-01-2005, 09:14 AM
instead of spending all the time and money trying to track down a ~20 yr old suspension part, why not work on finding out what NEW suspension components will work?? Sure, there's the coolness factor of using it, but that doesnt justify the exporbidant price.

Not to piss on your parade wprocomp, but I've also heard that setup isnt that great also. I guess when you install it and test it out yourself that'll be the best test.
