Look at this and tell me if its sposed to be doing this, or what...cuz im totally lost, and it looks like the stuff under the peeling is supposed to be there, like showing.

It seems like a stupid question, but no1 i have asked really knows. It looks pretty decent without that crap there, but i dont wanna peel it off before i know or not....im thinking someone keyed me to start the peeling.

That has happened to alot of people either paint it or scrape it off and polish the metal (just make sure you do the rest around the window so it matches). But if I were you I would just paint it since it looks like the rest of the trim is pretty good.

Here's a link to the how to for painting the trim.

good, i kinda like the chrome look, but its gonna be all alone on that side until some1 keys the other side. Will it rust or ne thing? i think ill just rip that part off until the rest of it starts coming off, it looks fine to me that way, i was just wondering if i was the only one :)

I don't think it will rust, But if it does just use some nerver dull on it that stuff is great.

Walmart also sales it in a silver can in the automotive cleaning products section. It is great I used it to take off the last of the paint on the corner peices around my back window.

wow thanks! i really do like the chrome look over the nasty, primered look of the stock paint job. thats good to know in case it does start rusting, but i dont think it shud, it looks pretty solid.

it's made from aluminum. it won't rust. take a razor blade and scrape it off and do the same for the other side too.

I took a picture of my rims after I just got done polishing them, you can see the can of never dull I forgot to move. If you have any thing you need to take off metal that never dull will probably take it off, including paint.
