I'm knee deep in project parts and I just got the spring compressor out and pulled the spring/strut assemblies apart. I know this is mostly a forum for G3s but I need some suggestions about modifying my Macpherson strut/spring setup for lowering. Unlike the G3s the G2 does not have the innovative multilink setup or camber adjust. It has a bolted strut at the top and ball joint at the bottom for the hub and wishbone in the rear. Right now I have Koni adjustable hydrolic inserts for the struts and new aftermarket springs for the front and the old stock springs in the rear. These are not lowering springs but they are meant for a heavier load. I am really trying to avoid chopping springs but I may have no choice. If someone can help me design or fabricate a hybrid G3-G2 coilover set up I'd be willing to trade off some parts or help out with any advice. If pics help I will try to get them up on my cardomain page later this weekend. I've done my homework and I haven't seen any aftermarket lowering springs Eibach, etc.
