question
what are the pros and cons in deciding whether to use a mono channel amp vs a 2 channel amp to power 2 subs??????

well the whole thing is what all do you plan on running into the amp.

if just 2 subs, a mono channel mos def, they provide lower resistance, and usually push alot more wattage to ur subs

2 channel is good, if you plan on amping not only ur subs but ur speakers,
however you can bridge with a 2 channel amp and get full power out of the amp, but it usually comes with higher resistance

i use a 2 channel amp and it runs just fine

mono class D amps are usually more powerful for the same amount of money. They run cooler but the con is they have more signal noise, but you can't really hear it out of subs. 2ch amps are usually cleaner sounding but usually less powerful which is perfect for mids and highs.

Do you have two channels going to your subs, or a single sub out?

That should answer your question. If you really want one channel, bridge.
