damn... I wish
up here in canuckville (WC) we don't get hardly anything.... usually the best bet is to strip it yourself and then there are guys who'll pick 'em up for free. I'm just starting a complete ripdown (slowly) of my parts car and then I'll be calling a guy to come and get it... I can even keep the rims for my snowtires, so its actually a good way to get rid of the hunk of rust.

Usually, the junk yards will "take them off our hands". Which is their polite way of saying "I ain't paying you shit!". I wish we could get $250, I'd unload my car today.

i drive a tow truck, some junkyards buy cars and pay by the ton, like $70/ton, we can usually get $200 for two good size junkers

some pickapart places will give you a couple hundred bucks depending on the condition of the car. usually they'll give you only 75 bucks or so.

you mean like when you take your old junk car to the junk yard? they were going to offer my friend like $50 for his blazer with the frame and everything. they dont give you crap here. like the jetta i bought, the guy who i got it from was going to get only like $50 for the whole car at the junk yard. the car is all intact and needs little to get it running, so i bought it for the $50. anyway, they rip you off at junk yards. might as well sell the parts off your car on Ebay or in the news paper when your doing that.
