View Full Version : Possibility of Clear Tail Lights (For Everyone)

Just figured i'd let you all know that I think I may have a sure-fire way of getting mass produced (factory Quality) clear tail light lenses. I still have to look into it but i'd say that there is about an 80% chance of this being a for sure thing. I really don't want to say very much about how it's going to be done because, c'mon it isn't a home made thing so depending on the quality I might start selling these, and who ever wanted competition in the market right?:smokin: Anyway, I figure if these look good enough and it's simple enough to install I may start selling the lenses for around $100 but I still have to look at how much the casings will cost me before i'll be capable of determining how much the cost for the casings w/ lenses will be. Just figured you'd like to know that there may be some new items for our cars soon, but understand that I'm still just looking into it so don't get your mind set that this is absolutley 100% going to happen. :p

One more thing, the plastic that it is going to be made out of is the same style as OEM, it is smooth on one side and has the peaked edges that give it the textured look on the other. Note: these are not Altezzas, they are just plain ass clear lights....

well, if I were to do this, do you think I should sell the turn signal lenses and the break light lenses seperately (because not everyone likes both) or do you think I should just sell them in a set package? (this is for selling the lenses individually out of the casings) Which would you prefer?

Just sell the whole thing as a set... I think they will look bad azz, but one of the problems we can run into is the light might show up as pink but u can always adjust that. Soundz sweet man definitly keep us posted. Lataz

yeah man....I would say seperate and as a set would be the best, that is awesome news BTW. Keep us posted on how things are coming along.

Believe it when I see it! I have been on this board for over 2 years now, and im yet to see it. And lets see....15 people have posted about these possibilities? If it isnt a real possibility or your just talking out your ass, then why post? Everyone gets all excited for no reason.

So, my guess is, we will never see them.

isn't it illegal for the whole taillights to be completely clear? well, im pretty sure it is here. and i don't like them completely clear, look funny, maybe if you were going to show your car, just change them out, but thats about it.

Its not illegal if you have red bulbs or something to make the light red, the lenses dont really matter

I think this would be awsome, if it comes out i already have 3 sets sold...lol

Haha Nate, well I know what your talking about, I must have seen about 5-10 post the same as mine insuring clear tails over the whole time i've been w/ 3geez, but I really don't think anyone had anything to back up what they were saying. So just give me some time and I pretty much guarantee you this is a sure thing.

And another thing, I don't talk out of my ass just to get people all psyched about something, its a waste of my time, so looks like i'll have to prove you wrong ;)

Sorry it's taking so long to get back on this, I would probably be able to get a set as of right now but due to lack of funds I have to wait until Friday (pay day :) ) before I can even go see about these. I should have some more info about em sometime early next week.
