Are these two accords worth it?

I have a buddy that has a 88 white LX and a 87 maroon LX both are stick.I can get them both for 200 bucks,neither one runs the maroon one the timing belt broke and the white one the clutch and exhaust are bad.I was thinking about buying them for a few parts for my 89 LXI.My question is do you think I could get my 200 back out of these cars if I parted them out?Or should I not even bother?thanks for all your help

um, buy them, swap the clutch, either buy an exhaust or swap it too.

and then you'l have the white 88lx and then your 89 lxi and then a nice parts car!

If you have a place to put them, I would take out the engine and tranny for both and keep one to build up into a carb beater, and then you'll still have an extra 5 speed if or when yours blows, like mine just did. Call the local junkyards and ask them how much they would give you to tow away and junk the cars, b/c that's how much they'll be worth without key drivetrain parts.

well I was mistaken the maroon one has and auto tranny,the one good thing about this one that the whole body including front clip are in excellent condition,not one bit of rust :)
